They look worn out. I have restored old windows before, but my wife is pushing for new windows. I know they would be more energy efficient, but honestly this only 15% of the total windows in the house (all the rest are new) and I like these because they are original and they match the look of the house. Besides, if they get replaced, the frames will get torn up and then the inside & outside will all need repainting.\ Currently there are 2 single pane frames; one for the sash window and one for an exterior storm which we usually leave on year 'round. There isn't any noticeable air leakage.... but my wife "thinks they need to be replaced". Before I argue with her about this, tell me what you would recommend.
