Open Question: What are good window plants for corner windows that face South and East?I want to have some plants in the windows in my room but I don't know which are the best ones to have. My windows are right next to each other, one on each wall. One faces East and the other faces South. I am looking for neighborhoods south of 1604. All I seem to find is stone oak and that is too far North for our family. We would like to stay East of I-10 and West of I-35. Alamo Heights is out of our price range. We would also like the neighborhood to have a lot of children with family friendly activities. I would also not like to hear the airplane traffic, that drives me crazy. I also really like trees in the yards. I know I am picky, that is why I am asking for help. Thank you for being willing to help someone out. Open Question: How do i properly wire my new chandelier?Replacing a ceiling fan that had a light with a chandelier. Switch in hallway controlled just the ceiling FAN LIGHT. Three switches near front door: 1 controlled the ceiling FAN, 1 controlled the PORCH LIGHT, 1 controlled the FAN LIGHT. I have mixed up the wires on the chandelier or the switches - cannot get the chandelier to work. Obviously one of the switches near the front door will not be used any longer. There is only one group of wires (red, black, white) going to the box above the chandelier. Open Question: ideas for hanging coats?I've just moved to a new house which doesn't have much storage space. What I really need though is ideas to store coats/jackets as we come in to the house. Our hall is a fair size but wall space is tight. The wall where I would have put a coat rack has the alarm box system on it so that isnt any good. I need somewhere at hand and out of the way – can anyone come up with any quirky ideas? All ideas welcome. Thanks the under stairs cupboard is too small and the alarm box is in the way to hang coats. Open Question: what would happen if we didn't have wood?Open Question: Where can I purchase discontinued cb2 items besides ebay, etc?I have been keeping my eye out on ebay, craigslist, free cycle, flea markets, thrift stores, consignment shops. Mainly I'm asking if you know any online sites. I believe this may have been a cb2 exclusive--the mercury vases. I have found other mercury vases but I want the cb2 ones.
