Open Question: How do I install a dishwasher?

I have a ton of DIY skills, and i understand all about how to put a dishwasher in, in terms of electrical, water supply and waste, but what is killing me is the small stuff- does the dishwasher need to mount to the floor or cabinets? does it get bolted down? how do i mount it to the countertop- do i screw it in and then tip the counter back into place? how do i make it look good when it's got the wall to it's left and new cabinets to the right? i mean, are there any tricks i need to know about filler pieces or should i just butt it up on each side? i have looked in all my reference books but they are just technical, in terms of hooking it up, not so much on the how to make it look like a professional installation. thanks a ton.....

Open Question: Right size house for a family?

I was wondering what a nice size house would be for a family? The family has 2 adults (mom and dad) and 3 kids (all having separate rooms) Also, both parents are physical therapists (so think about the money made as a physical therapist) Anyway I hope I can get some help on this and what other people think the size of house should be. Oh, and the location is Oregon. Thanks! :)
