Open Question: What is the best option for us re are to carpet the upstairs and bedrooms of our home.?

we are planning on selling the house in a few years. Our options are professional install wich will cost 1,600 or just buy area rugs to fit the rooms. Option 2 will save us about 1,000 dollars. My concern is down the road when we go to sell the house. Will the 600 investment go to waste as not having professional instalation, or is it not that big of a deal. Any insight will be appreciated. Thanks!

Open Question: pricing sidewalk design?

Approximately how much would it cost to have someone (a paver/contractor--you know, someone who does this for a living) come in and create a 6-ft by 6-ft red and black fleur de lis cement insignia in the sidewalk? (like it looks like its part of the sidewalk--very uniform and how sidewalks have those indents, so does the symbol where the lines should be.)

Open Question: Lucky Bamboo to tall for house!?

I have a lucky Bamboo plant. But it is getting way to tall for my house. I would really like to have it in my house, but it is about 3 ft tall already, and it just keeps growing. Is there a way to cut it shorter, and replant what I cut off?? Please someone help me, my Dad is going to get mad if my bamboo plant turns into a tree!

Open Question: Wrinkle-free 100% cotton bed linens?

Has any of you had positive experiences with 100% cotton bed linens that are wrinkle resistant? I buy 100% cotton bed linens, but these always come out with lots of wrinkles when I take them out of the clothes dryer. When I read reviews on bed linens that are listed as wrinkle-free, reviewers state that, based on their experience, these linens are not wrinkle-free.

Open Question: Converting a Terrace into 2 maisonettes?

Hi I am a looking at buying a 2 (double) bed end terrace in need of modernization. I'm new to this so excuse me, but would it be possible to convert this into say 2 x 1 one maisonettes ? Actually could probably do a 1 1/2 bed on the ground floor as this is larger than upstairs. What is involved, beyound the obvious of needing a bathroom downstairs and a kitchen added upstairs? Also 'HOW MUCH' might something like this cost, if I were to provide the kitchen and bathroom elements? thanks for any advice in advance. :-) Ash
