Open Question: how to permanently change the colors in paint?i have windows vista and as most vista-users would know.. the color panel in windows vista is different from the ones in previous windows paint panels. And these -wrong- colors really annoy me.. so my question is, how can you change the colors so that they won't turn back next time you open paint? i want the good old colors back but if you change them back and you close paint, the colors are back to how they used to be. I have stripped all the wallpaper off everywhere and had the walls plastered. The ceilings were painted underneath and didn't need plastering. In one room though, some of the paint had peeled off when removing the ceiling paper so I sanded it down and just painted the whole ceiling anyway. In the exact areas where the paint had peeled off, moisture in the paint seems to cause some colour from the ceiling boarding to seep through and just leave a brown stain in those areas. I have tried painting the areas in PVA then repainting, but to no avail. I have also tried painting a very thin layer of paint so there is hardly any moisture to absorb, but it does the same. I'm using plain white dulux matt emulsion. How could I stop this colour seeping through without spending much cash? Thanks in advance.
