Open Question: how can I get this bed to my house?

My grandma is giving me one of the full sized beds at her house because I am the only one at my house that still has a twin bed. We were going to mail it to my house when we went to visit her on her birthday in april, but how in the world do I mail something that size? Even if I take it apart, the mattress is still quite large. We are flying there, not driving, so I can't just stick it in the car with us. Any ideas?
