Open Question: would a california king mattress look stupid on a platform style frame? So, I seem to be acquiring a humongous california king mattress from a friend. I am not going to pass it up. But my dilemma is is I don't have the money to go out and buy a box spring.. frame.. etc for this thing. I am thinking about just getting something like http://www.walmart.com/ip/Premier-Platform-Bed-Frame/12082083 for moderately inexpensive, plus I wont need a box spring. I love how platform beds look but I am wondering if it will look ridiculous with a cali king seeing as it is so huge. I have only really seen it with a double or a queen. anyone out there with a cali king on a platform bed? how does it look? Open Question: please help me decorate!!! I am stuck?Im so stressed about the move and I want my dining room to look perfect (I am on somewhat of a budget) Anyways I am so stressed I have like decorattors block haha....pls give me any input you may have...peices that will go ie center peices place mates etc http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images?_adv_prop=image&fr=slv8-hptb6&va=elite+midnight+palm+dinnerware&sz=all awww cant find my table but it has black frame wood and a cream like granite top that is the same color of the cream on the dishes and really drk brown leather chair (almost black) thinking about getting back leather placemates...i dunno....i need ideas! Open Question: I'm painting finished wood, how much do I have to sand it before painting?I'm painting all the woodwork in my bedroom white. How much do I need to sand it before I paint it? Just rough it up or does all the finish have to be removed? Also, the room is part extension and art of the original house, so the extension has wood that is just stained, the original part has wood that was originally painted and then painted and lacquered to make it look like stained wood. Do I need to sand off all the lacquer when I repaint the old part? Open Question: If you have regular florescent light fixture will it work if you replace the bulbs with black light bulbs?i have light fixtures and am curious is black light bulbs would work in the same fixture. im talking about the 48 inch bulbs More Recent Articles |
