Open Question: Around how much would it cost to add cabinets and countertop in my kitchen?

Just on one wall-- its small like 8 ft. I want to add an L-shaped countertop, so I can use the L part to eat at, and have cabinets above and below the rest of the counter.

Open Question: What kind of toilet is this?

Saw this toilet at a racetrack and took a picture since I'd never seen one like it before. I don't get it! http://s1002.photobucket.com/albums/af148/HoneySunrise/?action=view¤t=weirdtoilet.jpg

Open Question: How can I soundproof my room for free?

So I like to stay up to around 12:30 or 1 playing COD. Unfortunately whoever designed our house was mentally challenged and put my parents room 3 feet away from mine. Because of this even with my door shut and me whispering my mom can still hear me talk. My mom is paranoid to close her door when sleeping and she is a freak and might hear something else and think its me. So I'm wondering how can I make my room soundproof so I don't disturb her

Open Question: How do I get my interior door hinges from rubbing against my door jams?

I just installed 9 interior doors in my home. They are not "pre-hung" so I literally had to measure and match up each hinge with the existing recessed hinges on my jams. I have a few doors that are rubbing against the door jam on the hinge side of the door. My new doors are slightly thicker by about 1/16 of an inch than the doors I pulled off. The new doors are 1 5/8 inch thickness. Did I chisel too deep on my new doors and do I need to insert a shim behind my hinges to bring the door away from the jam on the hinge side? What can I do to fix this and get the door to sit away from the inner jam on the hinge side? I have plenty of room on the strike plate side of the door but the other side is rubbing. Thanks!
