I want to go utterly glamorous and shiny, so I would want more of a Hollywood shine-ish style. My bed is a metallic silver color and is arched..its a rod one too incase your wondering c(:......and well I wanted to get some ideas. Im in a competition with my best friend. She is also into glamour as well. She chose Black Gray Green and Blue. She painted the walls gray has light colored furniture with black green and blue accents. Open Question: Standard Twin vs XL Twin Mattress?I have a twin mattress, this I know, but I'm not sure if I had a standard twin or XL twin. I didn't even know there were two different sizes of twins until the other day when I decided it was time for a new one and measured the length of my bed. It came out to between 77-78 inches. Every measurement I found online said a standard was 75 inches and a XL was 80. So I'm not sure if the sizes run a little long or a little short. I'm 5'8, so I don't need the extra inches for my body but if my current mattress is a XL and the sizes run short, I don't want to buy a standard and it be 73-74 inches and then have a 5 inch gap between the end of my mattress and the frame. The stain they used is made by Sherwin Williams, a good brand. I picked a dark solid color. After the stain dried, there are all these white streaks here and there and it looks like h __ll. The white feels like soap and rubs off on my fingers. I called the company and they are coming to look at it. What would cause this to happen? I am sure the guy sanded and washed the floor before applying the stain.
