Open Question: Can I mount my hammock to a wall, or will my weight tear out the beam?

Open Question: What color goes good with blue?

I am contemplating about painting my room at home. Its currently an ugly pastel blue that is way over dated. The carpet is like an ashy blue. I don't want to redo the carpet because I am limited with the spending money. So any one have any ideas what color scheme would go good with blue carpet besides white and blue?
