I will hire a company to pour the foundation, and any electrical, but I want to do most of the framing/siding/finishing work myself to save money (as I do have some experience). I know you have to get building permits and so forth. My question is this: How do you find out the local building code rules for such a task? Thanks! Open Question: How to transform a little girls room into a teenagers room?The last time We painted the walls was when I was 10...I'm 16 now. The original theme for my room was green-blue walls, hot pink and green-blue bedspreads, pink butterfly/flower valences (made from shower curtains) above plain white blinds, a buliton board covered in the same material as the valences, bunk beds, stuffed animals, Teddy bear ornaments on a shelf, flowers painted on the walls, etc. Now that i'm sixteen I'm practically an adult and I still have my little girl bedroom and I want that to change asap! I've already gotten rid of everything made of shower curtains (I still have the matching garbage can) and covered as many flowers as possible with twilight posters. I've got a good desk in my room and my dad brought the old couch up from the basement but it's slightly hideous. I'm not willing to get rid of my stuffed animals and I want to put my ornaments away in a box but in scared they'll break. My dad says ge can paint ny room as soon as my rooms clean (working on it) but idk what colour theme would e good. My sister thinks light lime walls with periwinkle bedspreads but I'm not sure if that would look good. So what can I do? hahaha I remember those stars! I had them in my old tool when I was six bit when we moved it didn't put them back up bc I thought they wer babyish!
