Open Question: Furniture for my new room? (I'm 14, female)?

Hi!(: I am moving into a new house in 3 weeks. This is the description of my old house bedroom; (Currently living in) Queen Size Bed. (Brown Color) Desk. (Brown) Dresser (Brown) & I have closets joined into the room... This room is kinda regtanular. My new bedroom, is square. My bedroom furniture will go to my parents, and I will get my parents bed. (My parents bed is black color) Since I hate my furniture, I'll get new furniture. In my bedroom, I have a private bathroom. (Cool, I knoww!;) What are some good ideas for my new room? Decoration, furniture, ectt. (Closets are included in the bedroom, as in joined closet) Furniture has to be GOOD, but cheap!!!) Any color. I want ideas, suggestions, comments, or websites! ;D (Best answer wins ten points) Please also tell me what you did with your room!) I'm 14 and a half. I love animals, and I LOVE to read. I play the piano, and love the computer. (Thats some description about me, so you can help me with the room, I'm kinda girly, but not too girly.. I like the color pink. LIKE. But my parents don't want really girly furniture...) BUT PLEASE! Tell me how your room is, and some of your decoration in it! Thanksss=] (Ideas for the bathroom alsoo) :D Oh, and I own a dog, a puggle. (Pug, beagle mix, 1 year, male) (Idk why I said that)

Open Question: i'm 13 and taking down my posters but don't know what to put up after?

I'm a 13 year old girl and have about 90 posters on my walls and ceiling. I live in an apartment so I can't paint or anything, and I share a room with my mom so I have one wall, and a 3rd of a wall. I have NO idea what to put up and I really need help. I already looked at that pbteen site.....didn't help much. I really really hate pink. I love chinese symbols and weird hallucinogenic pictures. I know that sounds weird and...well..kinda druggie..haha, but I just love illusions and stuff like that. I can't really buy anything so all I have is all I have to work with. I have plenty of paper and poster boards and markers and such, I just need ideas. No fish tanks on the walls, and no posters of famous people. I don't have any pictures of family or friends that i'd want up on my wall, and i have a slight fear of mirrors if that helps. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me :)

Open Question: benjamin moore paint recommendation?

I recently bought and install storm door in the front. Contractors from Lowes installed side wood panels in order to install the storm door. I want to paint these two wood panels on the side of storm door (white color). Can I use Natura Benjamin Moore paint or is it strictly for inside use only? What paint do you recommend?

Open Question: Can I raise the second floor of my house?

Hello, I live in a home that was built in the 1950's. It is currently for sale and has been for the past 4 years. The problem I believe, (aside form the economy) is the height of our 1st floor ceilings. They are only 6'7". The house is adorable aside from that but no one wants to buy it because of the ceilings. It is a concrete (Cinder Block) 1st floor structure with the second floor being wood framed. It's only about 1700 sq. feet total. I have no idea really but am guessing that one would either raise the whole structure or separate the two floors and raise the 2nd floor? Any ideas of what the most economical way of raising the first floor would be? Help!

Open Question: How can i build a wall on a vaulted ceiling?

I have no clue to do this at all. The ceiling is relatively low and it is also at a rental that needs to be built with relatively little impact so kinda temporary wall mainly for privacy. Any suggestions?

Open Question: New Home Dilemma, Flooring?

I am fixing to close on a new home and want to replace the flooring before I move in so I don't have to deal with furniture, et cetera. This will be $5000 that I don't have right now, but when I get the refund from my first time home buyer tax credit, I'll have it (right around $5000). Is it worth getting a credit card to put the cost of the flooring on, make payments until I get the refund back and can pay it off completely? I'm really stressing out about this because I want it done and am not sure how to go about it.

Open Question: Boat wedding decorating ideas?

I am getting married in Spet 2010 on a catamaran in Key West. We are trying to save money and not hire a wedding planner. So we are doing everything! Does anyone have any ideas on decorating the boat? Tables, centerpieces, colors.. etc. The upper deck is outdoors and the lower deck is enclosed and air conditioned. We were thinking about putting white lights around the rails outside. Please, if anyone can help... Any suggestions would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!
