Open Question: how big is an average guest bathroom?Open Question: Should I make a quilt to cover up my couch?I would like to cover my couch set, not because it is ugly, but because I have a 2 year old and she has already gotten all kinds of stuff on it and I'd like to keep in decent condition in case we want to sell them some time in the future. I'm thinking of making a quilt to drape over the couch because I enjoy quilting and I think it will give the room a nice homey look. Also, if (when) it gets dirty I can just throw it in the washer and I don't have to worry about unzipping or unpinning anything, and I don't have to worry about it losing its shape. I would make a coordinating quilt to cover the matching lounge chair and possibly the love seat, although the love seat is currently in another room. However, as I have been looking online for ideas I have not been able to find anyone else who covers up their couch with a quilt. Why not? Is there something I don't know that makes covering couches with quilts difficult? Is it just tacky? Do you think I should cover up my couch with a homemade quilt built for the purpose or do something else?
