I'm a 15 year old girl and I want to redo my room. I like the colors purple, black, turquoise, red and other dark colors. The only thing is I don't want my room to be really dark and depressing. I want to know any ideas. Where should I get my comforter? What color should i paint my walls? I like the Victorian look but i look want my room to be really comfy. Any ideas anyone?

Hi, I am currently redoing my bathroom out, and I am wondering if it is possible to tile over existing tiles, or if I have to remove the tiles before replacing.
I just got a new fridge, it's 1/8 in too wide for opening if I remove the mid and bottom rail. Anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking maybe sawing the counter, the counter top is the only thing too large. The cabinets both over and under are fine. Would this be the best option?
I'm 18 and I'm moving into my first apartment in August. I'm a junior in college, so please spare me 'stay at home with your parents' lecture. lol Naturally, as a college student, money is TIGHT. I love shopping in thrift stores and such and plan to use those resources as well as ones online like craigslist. Is it better to go with a color scheme or not? Should I go for all black or all brown furniture? My personal taste is mixmatched yet everything goes :] Any tips about how to decorate or bargains or anything like that would be greatly appreciated!

My tub leaked into the condo unit below mine, so I paid for a patch job to the ceiling texture and now it needs to be painted. Because I work 2 jobs, I won't have time to do it myself and would rather put the liability on someone else should they do a bad job. According to the professional who repaired the ceiling texture, he said that the ceiling needs to be bleached (for the discoloration of the water stains) then painted. The ceiling is about 5'x8'.
