Open Question: How to make Cloud Shades? and more... Open Question: How to make Cloud Shades?I am writing to ask the sewing community advice regarding "Cloud Shades?" I've never sewed anything or used a machine in my life until recently. I decided to buy a book called "Curtains, Draperies and Shades" by Sunset books and I made my first set of curtains, which came out beautiful. Now I am stepping it up and making "Cloud Shades." My problem is that a lot of the terms that the book uses and then the way the author explains how to do the sewing is making my life just miserable, and I'm about to give up. In order to make these shades I would need to make a "poufed, with gentle scalloped draping and in order to achieve that look it says to sew vertical tucks midway between seams and joining widths. Press the tucks to one side and stitch them to the face fabric." One more thing what does it mean to sew at midpoint? I am anxious to know and I would appreciate any help I can get. Open Question: what is a good brand of paint stripper?we are going to strip our deck, it has red paint on it, we want it to be natrual wood. we want to be able to buy it at home depot or lowes, what is a good brand and about how much will it be to strip the deck? Open Question: Displaying multiple photos in an organized way?I am trying to hang my sons photos from sporting teams throughout the years on his bedroom wall. I have ample space to do this too so that is not an issue. Currently he has 5 photos each 8x11. By the end of this project there will be about 9 photos (all 8x11). Any suggestions on a nice way to display these in an organized way without using 9 frames( one for each photo)? Open Question: Does anyone know where i can get.....?More Recent Articles
