Open Question: I have a antique bedroom suite that needs restaining?

It is an antique bedroom suite that has been stained a dark walnut. I want to restain due to scuffs and such just to pep it up a bit. Do i need to strip it first or can i just apply the same color of stain on top of existing stain?

Open Question: I was wondering if anyone could help me with interior decorating? I have blue couches and my living room is?

decorated very nice but it is too dark in here for summer. In the fall and winter it looks great but i wold like to change some things for summer. I was wondering about buying some sheer curtains since they are inexpensive. I was wondering if anywhere sold throw pillow covers so i can just cover my pillows to change the color for summer. I was thinking maybe a yellow color would go good with blue couches but not sure. should i buy like off white sheer curtains and just decorate with more color. i dont want it to be too boring with just blue and off white. i love bright colors. Any input would help. I was just not sure if there was an inexpensive way to lighten a room just for summer because i love the stuff i have for the other months. Thank you

Open Question: I don't understand this about PLYWOOD?

Why is there an odd number of layers in the plywood? Something to do with the grains going in the same direction, but if thats true then why can't you have two going in the same direction? And also there is something about one layer going vertical, the other horizontal and the other vertical again? Why does this matter?? Thanks
