I've heard that having your bed facing a door is bad feng shui because doors and windows let in a fast rush of energy that can collide with you if you do not make curves for it to flow through. My bed faces the balcony doors, but my couch is between the bed an balcony doors, facing my bed, and a trunk is in the middle of the space serving as a coffee table.
