Open Question: his / hers lamp shades?

I'm looking to buy lamp shades in the UK that are similar but different to go on either side of our master bed. Off the top of my head something like a male animal on one and a female version on the other, or a male comic character on one and the female counterpart on the other.

Open Question: Is it possible to legally have a secret room with no windows or doors?

In the movie, "Jumper", there was a scene in which the main character disappeared from one side of a wall and reappeared on the other side in a small room designed only for those who knew where it was. I understand this may be just a set, but is it legally possible? Can engineering firms design such things?

Open Question: How do I paint white kitchen cabinets another color?

I have tried searching online everywhere. I hate white kitchen cabinets and my new home has white cabinets, they are wooden white, but i read that i would need to use a sander and white primer to go over kitchen cabinets. Would this be necessary if my cabinets are already white? I'm a rookie at all of this updating home stuff. Can someone please help me out, i want it to be a nice wooden color and am going to put a dark black granite top to it as well. so the white has to go completly.. Any ideas??http://www.homesbylender.com/centralhouston/29007/ you can see the kitchen here. thanks
