Open Question: Room ideas 14 years old? and more... Open Question: Room ideas 14 years old?Hi everyone, im moving and i need a room theme. im 14 btw. Any Ideas? :D (teen girl)?ok so i've had the same room layout for AGES, and i have noooooo idea how to make a room look bigger or smaller or whatever. my room is a normal cubic room, 11ft by 11ft and I CANNOT PAINT ANY WALLS on account of, well i just cant. and its not a matter of my parents letting me or not, so dont suggest trying to convince them or nothin. one of my walls is that fragile walling that looks like stained wood, and i cant put any tape on it without ripping the stupid paint off, and right now, its all covered with rectangular discoloration sections where i had a jillion things taped to my wall a few years ago. which sucks. a ton. i have a regular twin-size bed (6ft by 11ft) (but i may upgrade to queen sometime in the future) a plain wood bureau (2ft 5in length; 16in width; 4ft height) a 4ft long, 1in wide, 3ft 4in high desk a 3ft long, 10in wide, 2ft 10in high nightstand and a 2ft by 17in dry-erase board (i reaaaaaaally want to get a cork board though) and this FREAKISHLY HUGE teddy bear (sort of a collasal beanbag thing, but without the beanbag part) that's 6ft wide, 2ft 8in high, and 4ft long-- when he's sitting. to get a general understanding of my style: so anyway, about me: I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE MUSIC SO UNCONDITIONALLY THAT IT'S SO RIDICULOUSLY UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!! i love LADY GAGA!!!!, The Script, The Cat Empire, Train, Coldplay, The Fray, ONE Flo Rida song (lol), Gnarls Barkley, Green Day, Jason Mraz, Ke$ha, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, KT Tunstall, Tim McGraw, Katy Perry, Linkin Park, Mana (which is a spanish rock band), Martin McBride, Matt Kenon, Natasha Bedingfeild, Nickleback, Oasis, Plain White T's, Reba McEntire, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Sara Bareilles, Sugarland, Avril Lavinge, Toby Keith, and Weird Al Yankovic. yeah. variety. xD *had this idea though, that i could copy/paste cover album artwork from my itunes onto a word processor doc, print, and put on my wall.* im REALLY creative (yeah thats why im asking strangers on yahoo to give me ideas LMAO), i LOVE to write, i like weird art, i love plaid, and im not ALL THAT into pink, i like purple, green, and blue, (color schemes like that would do awesomely). i love my laptop and im sorta techy (not nerdy to the point where i know what a gigabyte is LOL) i love X-Men too lol. (ive got a thing for hugh jackman, who'd blame me? xD). SOMETHING IMPORTANT!!!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE AUSTRALIA!!!!!! (the country) (but i quite enjoyed the movie too lol) i love America too though LOL how terrorist would it be if i didnt love my own country?!?! XD i also love new york city and Broadway and im REALLY into drama (im going to study drama in college and when i get into highschool next year) i love CDs and i have some hanging on yarn form my ceiling WOOT lol i like pictures of people, preferably of mine lol i tend to thumbtack a CRAPLOAD of stuff to my wall (calendars, magazine cutouts, a few of my favorite old birthday cards, some page-a-day calendar pages, of course posters [of which i have only 4], pictures [duh], ect.) i also have a samurai sword (trophy, duh) that i would like to mount on my wall, as well a few other trophies. i have a little "two story" shelf that mounts to my wall too. (two story as in two individual shelves). and i thinks thats it. :) best answer gets.... well, best answer. :D ready set go. <3 Open Question: Have any ideas on how to soundproof a bedroom?I have a friend who suffers from PTSD (she is a war vet!) and is startled awake by loud noises. She is looking for a way to soundproof her bedroom, to muffle incoming noise - not to stop sounds escaping her room. Anyone know of any do-it-yourself products that can help soundproof her room??
