Open Question: What to do with the wall behind my tv?

My tv (47inches) is in a enclave (about 1 feet on each side extra of the tv. Right now it is the same color as everything else, which is tannish green. I don't want to do anything I need to dust, like bookshelves, etc. Maybe wallpaper, or would that be too much? A picture? There is about 4 feet from the top of the tv to the ceiling. Please help :) If you know of any good websites with great ideas - that would help tons.Thanks.

Open Question: Is it okay to use sticky tack on colored walls?

So I recently painted my room and I wanna hang up a few small posters I have. The walls are a teal color and I was thinking about using sticky tack but I'm afraid it will discolor the paint. I'm not too worried about the poster's themselves, but I don't wanna have to repaint parts of my room if the sticky tack leaves a noticeable mark. Should I try sticky tack or what other options should I try? I really don't wanna use thumb tacks.

Open Question: Should I screw or nail something into carpet?

I'm adding a wall in the house I am renting without my landlord knowing. When I move out the wall has to go but there is carpet on the floor so how should I secure the frame? I was thinking nails would do the least damage going in but coming out might be a different story so then I was thinking screws? I have no clue any suggestions?

Open Question: How do I get paint off of a concrete floor inside of a house?

My loving husband decided to pull up the carpet in his family room and paint the concrete floor. This was before we were married and I couldn't begin to tell you why he thought this was a good idea. I would now like to stain the concrete floor. Is there a way for me to get the paint off so I can do this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Open Question: Installing an interior knee half wall. Want ideas to finish out wall other than sheetrock?

I am installing an half wall or also known as a knee wall to seperate the living room from my home office. The walls are 4" high x 4 ft long leaving a 5 ft walkway between the 2 rooms. The 2x4 have already been nailed in placed to the hardwood floors and the the walls. I intend to attach balustrade/spindles to top of wall and ceiling then paint balustrade matching color. I have knotty pine paneling that has been stained when the house was built many years ago, along with the original hardwood floors that i just recently refinished and stained...so alot of wood. Any ideas of what i could finish the wall out in? Mu general decor is rustic and western with browns, burgandy, olive green, rot iron, barn tin on office wall, white stone, you get the picture? I just dont want to use sheetrock! BORING!
