Open Question: Help needed with colour ideas for a feature wall?

I'm changing bed rooms and now have the chance to have a feature wall. In my current room, I dont have that option as it's a long room with a sloping roof at one end and an alcove at the other so I dont have 1 main wall to this on. Because of this, I painted my room all white so that I could accessorise with lots of bright colour things, mainly pink blue and green, but now I dont know what to do on the feature wall in the other room to bring those colours in but not make it look too over the top or too childish. Can be wall paper or paint but preferably paint because I do have the tendancy to change my mind every now and then!

Open Question: Where can I find plans for or purchase fake dormers?

We would like to add 3 fake dormers to our roof. To clarify, we only want them for looks, therefore we do not want to cut holes in our roof. Our roof is a 7/12 pitch. I would think that this would be a pretty easy project as we basically just want to build these on top of our house. We would prefer to build them, however we would also be interested in ordering the pre-fab. Any insight would be helpful.

Open Question: Is there a way to proffesionally stain granite countertops?

A few years ago my mother found out she had cancer. As she put it she wanted to finish the house remodel going on at that time so she could leave the house to me and my father as "something to always remember her by." The only problem is my mother had a very old fashioned decorating style. Her attempt at creating a luxury bathroom looks more like it came from a salvage yard. Here's the short version: The bathroom has white walls, walnut-colored finished cabinets and grey speckled granite counters. The color grey of these counters will not match any paint color that I would ever want in a bathroom. I know from experience that these counters absorb color easily, but is there a way to evenly stain these counter tops as opposed to replacing them. This link is about the same color: http://www.granite-care.co.uk/articles/wp-content/uploads/sardinia20white-300x225.jpg
