Open Question: would red blind and utensils go with a bright green kitchen?

am updating my kitchen and want something different and bright. i like the red kettle and toaster etc, have been considering orange, or pink etc. My problem is the cupboards are a light greeny colour with speckled beige in. tiles are also a light beige. it would just be the one red blind on widow?

Open Question: Can I wallpaper straight on to new plaster skim?

I have already done my mist coat of dulux and then done a 2nd coat of slightly thinned dulux and since completed the whole room with my two coats of best silk finish. Thing is I hae left one wall untouched for wallpapering, however I am unsure if I can just wallpaper directly on to the wall or not, can someone please give me some sound advice please, I really don't want to do anymore painting, but I am open to sound advice however.

Open Question: Bachelor bedroom color scheme?

Hello all, So I am looking to paint my bedroom. It is a medium sized room and will need at least 2 colors - 1 main and 1 for the wood that lines the corners/ceiling. The room is not a square/rectangle is has different angles with a small little cave-like thing where I have my bed, I was thinking possibly maybe even a 3rd color on those walls MIGHT look good - but is not necessary in your answers. I would like the scheme to be masculine, warm, and classy, without looking too serious at the same time. My furniture is a dark brown-black color. The room is currently painted light grey with black lining. I do not like it all, it feels very cold and plain. So with that said, please no light grey's or blues. Thanks for any ideas! Also, the ceiling is white, and the carpet is light grey. lol is that first answer a joke? you basically gave me exactly what I said I didn't want. =(

Open Question: what are best fitted sheet brands?

I now have a great new California King mattress but it is very thick and the J. C. Penney's Calif. King mattress pad and fitted sheets slide off the corners and are driving me crazy! I remember when fitted sheets really fit. Have any of you had that problem and if so, have you found any really good fitted sheets (or just sheet sets). What brands? Thanks I have deep pocket fitted sheets but they still slide.
