I LOVE this bedding from pbteen, and there are orangey tones in it so..Would the walls completely clash or could the bedding have a chance? Open Question: What is the process for building a verandah?

My husband and I would like a verandah on stumps put on the back of our house, but what is the cheapest and best way to do this? I would really like to know what is the process. Can we submit our own plans to council? If so, how detailed? If not, who do we get to come in and do our plans? I've heard you can be an owner builder to make things cheaper? Would this be worth doing? Sorry! I know, so many questions!!! As you can see I am deeply confused about the whole process and would love someone to shed some light for me, if you know any good sites, feel free to paste a link too. Thanks in advance!

Open Question: What paint color should I use with purple bedding?

I'm moving into a new house in a couple of months and will have this bedding: http://www.target.com/Home-Flocked-Comforter-Set-Purple/dp/B00386YHHU/ref=sc_iw_r_12_0/179-9661569-6400517#communityReviews I want my room to have a cozy, dark-ish, romantic feel to it, but I'm not sure what color to paint the walls. I have some dark purple and grey paint left over from my current bedroom that I was thinking about using, but I'm not sure if that would be too much purple. What color do you guys think would give the room that sort of feeling?

Open Question: are exposed brick walls safe?

I just took down some plaster and lathe from my 100 year old home. When I got to the outside wall there was no more lathe but brick instead. I haven't taken the side of the exterior wall completely down just yet but my wife wants make it an exposed brick wall. I read up on what it takes to finish the brick and make it look like a nice exposed brick feature to a room. But my issue is with the safety. I am not sure what to think about seeing the brick which is supporting the house. And how do judge the brick as to its quality or sustainability from being exposed on both side. Anyone have a suggestion for me? Thanks
