Open Question: can anyone suggest what to do here?

i live in a council apartment , not to far away i had my bathroom rejuvinated by the council and brought up to ' their ' standards - all together im not at all happy with my bath or the shoddy work done.....very cheap work. ive complained and complained and got nowhere , firstly for a fine AIRLINE CRACK in my bath under an inch long , near the metal handles , a bath doctor called out the other day and covered the crack somehow. more recently , the plug in my bath, when plugged in and i fill it up with water, it drains water out slowly by many inches after an hour . the coucil and building company who did it are being uncooperative and stubborn about calling out to fix these problems. the council said they will get me a new plug for the water draining problem. ive deceided after this that im gonna go ahead and buy my own bath, from a bath shop or wherever , save up for it. choose a bath I LIKE. i want to know , would most shops, stores actually fit the bath for you as well as just sell it ? im not at all diy minded and couldn't do it myself , or even install bathroom cabinates. and im really determined i want to get this done , do you think it will cost me too much trouble wanting to get my own bath in a council flat ? i doubt the council will change the bath for me now. they got a bath doctor out to cover the crack - and they said they will give me a new plug for the water draining problem. so in their eyes, they've attended to the bath , so i doubt theyll change the bath completely. but im still unhappy and want a new bath - will the council refuse me wanting to buy my own bath from a bath shop ?

It has a red brick chimney, light pink/beige curtains, and the kitchen is visible from the living room, which is a light mocca color. Most of the furniture is in brown/beige tones with floral design

Open Question: Can I install hardwood flooring in my basement area?

I just recently picked up a batch of Armstrong red oak hardwood flooring for a fantastic deal - enough to cover the space in my entry way at the basement level of my townhouse. Unfortunately, I've heard it shouldn't be done due to moisture issues. Is this so? I considered (to keep the moisture locked out) leaving the existing vinyl floor (it's literally a part of the concrete floor it's so well attached) and laying right over it. I'm aware there's an adhesive I need, regardless. Can anybody offer up some suggestions? Thanks!

Open Question: Help me find the PERFECT bedroom furniture set?

It has to have a full sized bed, a nightstand, a desk (preferably not a computer desk) with lots of drawers, and a dresser with a mirror. A vanity would be nice too. All the furniture must match/be part of the same set. I really like modern furniture, light wood with metal accents. I love really light wood and dark wood (no medium). I really loved this set, except the desk is a computer desk and doesn't have enough drawers: http://www.justkidsbeds.com/Lea-Industries-iRoom-Bedroom-Series-LK2576.html Links and pics please! Thanks, I really appreciate it(:
