Open Question: How can I laminate wallies to be used again?

I have a slight texture on my walls and the Walls won't stick. Is there a way to make them stiff or cover them with some sort of clear laminate? They don't have straight edges because they are pictures of plants, leaves and flowers, making it hard to cut out all the small details if I covered with one piece of plastic. Thank you! I always get the best answers from here.

Open Question: Who can help determine if our basement has moisture problems?

Hi, we're going to refinish our basement and the first order of business is to make sure moisture isn't a problem. There are traces of a potential problem -- white chalky outlines on the floor where paint cans have sat for a while, outlines on the walls where something has been leaning. I want to bring someone in to look at this but am afraid if I bring the wrong person in, they'll just try to sell me services or products I don't need. I just want someone who will give me a straight answer on what the issues are and how to resolve them. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to find the right company or person for this? We're in Colorado.

Open Question: I need some advice on remodeling my kitchen cabinets!?

My cabinets are 30 years old. They are cheap particle board covered with an ultra fake looking faux wood linoleum face. Many sites seem to recommend to sand down the linoleum and clean them. Then paint them with a roller and a qualified brush for the type of paint. My fiance is nervous to do all that work an it to look bad, visible brush strokes ext. Her suggestion is to apply a newer higher quality linoleum face. Which is a better way? Don't tell me put in new cabinets that is not in the card financially. Thanks for your help.
