Open Question: considering buying a house with crumbling cement and dark paneling, is it doable to fix these...?

...problems? The house we are considering buying is about $125,000.00 It has 4 bdrms 1 bath built in 1910. 2,330 sqf. The basement has crumbling cement in the half and dark paneling in the other half. Those are the only problems with the house. are these doable to fix? tear down the cement and re cement, is it expensive, or painting or putting dry wall over the paneling. what do you think?

Open Question: Where can you find real 100% leather couches at? The old fashioned kind, that are made with nice thick leather?

My Grandparents had one with a huge afghan on it. I always loved it as a child. going through my parents attic i found that afghan and the memories of those years flooded my thoughts. i would love to find a real leather sofa to put it on, and hopefully create new memories for my kids and eventually grand kids.

Open Question: What colour carpet goes with a brown leather sofa?

Okay, so my family and I moved house recently and there's carpet in our front room, my mum said she forgot what having carpet was like and she likes the idea of having carpet in our front room. but what colour? my mum said she thinks a reddish pink carpet would look nice, but i think it would look awful with a dark brown leather sofa. the other thing is, we have a dog, so we can't really go for any creamy, biege colours. thanks :)
