Open Question: Wrong type of lamp shade fitting- how do I make it work?I purchased two beautiful and perfect lamp shades and they have a "spider" adapter, but my lamps are from IKEA (Hemma floor lamp). It needs what I think is an Uno fitting, (my old IKEA shade works and it's fitting has a hole to fit the light socket in, then you screw down a plastic washer to secure the shade to the lamp, the the light bulb is put into the socket.) Is there some sort of adapter I can buy that will go around the socket base and up to the spider part? like a spider-uno adapter? Can I make one? If an uno/spider adapter is impossible, is it safe to put a clip on adapter on a compact fluorescent light bulb? Thanks for your input!
