Open Question: How durable and attractive is luxury vinyl for the entire house? I have two dogs.?

Wood scratches. Both wood and laminate swell if there is a dog "accident". The surface of carpets can always be cleaned but I don't care for the dirt that remains unseen. Tile and stone are cold and uninviting for the living room and bedrooms. That leaves luxury vinyl with a faux wood look as the only possibility. But what is the downside of luxury vinyl? It looks very attractive in the flooring store. Thanks for the advice!

Open Question: Does anyone know anything about blonde brick houses?

What are the names for those blonde coloured brick houses? They have laid brick around the windows, and quite a few have wood accents around the windows as well. What would the general time period be for these houses as well? My guess was around the 1850's. Where could I find pics of them?

Open Question: Ideas on how to spice up a teenage girl's bedroom a bit?

Ok so I'm a teenage girl, and my bedroom is STILL transitioning from a baby to an adult's bedroom. There is still 'baby' wall paper on the walls, weird fabric print bed frame and boring bed fittings. There are the odd old person things in it, like a big antique expensive oak desk and chair, and a marble top bedside table and marble top dressor. The walls that aren't covered with hideous wallpaper are yellow, and go along with a fairy merial painted on the wall my bedroom has lots of sun roofs, and a large wall mostly window. My dad is so slow on the whole renovation thing and its so frustrating that I can't make plans for sleepovers cuz its so embarrassing. I'm a rock-n-roll kind of chicka and so are my friends so its a lil awkward. Heeeeeelp how can I spice up my bedroom for the time being? Btw my bedroom is very large and bright if that helps, lol. I've made little baby food containers with food coloring in water and put them in the window to make stain glass shadows, and lava lamp, and crazy pillows and photos around but I want to make it a bit more...
