On a slab?I just bought my first place. I really like the look of sunken living rooms. In my place I'm on a slab and don't want to spend money on excavating my floor, plus not sure how that would be for resale anyway. Anyhow, I want to get the feel of a sunken living room without it actually being sunken. I was hoping for some ideas. I've seen some pictures where people basically build a wall/bench type setup and put throw pillows all over the place. I'm looking for suggestions on designs pictures would be even better but also how to go about doing this. Should I build a frame with 2x4's and cover it in drywall or use nicer wood and stain it? Any ideas.
