What's the cheapest co. & free shipping for small order?Looking for a bargain. Swag curtains for bedroom. What on-line company do you suggest? Open Question: How thick should padded floor be in an exercise room?I am looking to purchase interlocking padded flooring for an exercise room in my home. There are several thickness types. The room has hardwood floors I am just looking for padding to put on top of the already existing floor. What should be the minimum thickness for the padded floor, it will be used for cardio, aerobics, and yoga. Also anyone know of a good place to purchase the flooring? Open Question: is Tenacious D real metal ?!?!?Open Question: What do you think of this room?I created a floor plan for a room I'll be rearranging in an online creator and would like to know what you think. It will be my new room - live with parents and grandparents, still studying, 20 yrs. This is the link: http://www.zkracovatko.cz/dy3 I would like to comment on some things because they may not be clear due to limits the creator has: The left wall is actually to the east. The door leads to a balcony and is made of glass. The top wall leads to south. The door on the bottom leads to the bathroom, the door on the right wall leads to the rest of the flat. The irregularity next to it is where the chimney goes in the wall. The dark objects under windows symbolize heaters. The desk in the left-top corner consists of two parts, in fact. The computer is positioned so I can watch movies on it from the bed or from the armchair. The bed is in the corner because I like it this way - makes me feel secure. There is going to be a storage box under it for stuff I use rarely or which I'm sorry to throw out. It is a double bed, but I live alone. I want space. There will be shelves above it, where I'd keep my books and little before-sleep stuff. And a small light over the head. Below there will be a space with a mirror on the wall and a small shelf under it for make-up. The wardrobe next to it will be where I keep my accessories, jewelry, beauty stuff and fabrics. I can move a chair from the desk there. The line of shelves next to this is there to round the whole room and avoid stressing corner-to-corner. There I'd keep work in progress to have it in sight and motivate me to finish it. Opposite to it is a chair where I'd do my handwork - beading, embroidery, hand sewing. I can watch movies while doing this on the computer. Above it there are shelves with stuff I need for this, my portable sewing mashine I can put on the desk and a little reading-lamp. Next to it is a small table I can put things on when I need them at hand. Before it there's an oval coffee table (again, no corner to corner) that can be moved next to the bed if I need space to lay a big piece of fabric on the ground. In the bottom-left corner there is a wardrobe with clothes. Don't take the colors too seriously. I do prefer light wood and warm orangeish colors, but this is too much. Open Question: what color to paint pool table room? The room is the first room you walk into but it has a wood chair rail 1/3 the way up the wall there is a Wood stove out there with terracotta fireplace I need help with this what Color curtains etc. My house is very Contemporary and modern I like color but I am having trouble with this room Open Question: What is the cost of adding a separate entrance to my basement?I live in the Maryland tri-state area and would like to know how much it would cost to have a separate entrance added to my basement. It is a 2 level home with a side entrance into the kitchen and then downstairs to the basement. My family lives in the basement and if there was a fire, the windows are so small I'm not sure they could get out. I would like to have built another entrance leading directly to the basement. I have no idea how much the cost or how long the construction would take. I would greatly appreciate any help and websites for references. Thank you. Open Question: Having trouble laying hardwood floor?I'm going to be laying 3 1/2 inch hardwood floor around a granite fireplace slab. I cannot undercut this like you would cement and brick. I would like to "frame" it, like so many articles I have read. But none of these articles describe enough detail for me to understand. When "framing" the slab, do I need to use the router to make a groove in the mitred corners (and use a slip tongue)? Open Question: What could I put down on hardwood floors to really help absorb noise?I live in an apartment with my husband and two year old. We have hardwood floors throughout. My daughter has a little play room area and she is heavy on her feet and her toys are very loud when they hit the hardwood floors. The baby flooring doesn't seem to be thick enough and I even put a area rug over it. Anyone have any creative suggestions?
