Open Question: Is pressure treated wood essential where wood contacts the floor in a dry basement?The house we are seeking to buy has a walk-out basement, finished by the owner. He used untreated 2x4's where the wall framing contacts the concrete floor. Is the lack of pressure-treated wood a problem? Open Question: What should I use in my dining room?I just renovated my dining room over. New wiring, wall sockets, switches, etc. My question is this...I have 1 switch in the room and now I have 6 plugs to use whenever I need them. I ran to the local hardware store and all they had was a 30 amp breaker. So, I bought it. This is way too much for my dining room of 1 switch and 6 plugs, isn't it? Should I change it? What should I change it too? 15 amp? And I am trying to keep each room on it's own breaker so if I have to work on one room I just shut down that room. Makes work a lot easier. I am having issues with the dimmer I wanted in the dining room too. Any suggestions. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
