Found mold in the walls of the bathroom and am now worried about asbestos. Can I back out? Should we just clean and tear out moldy junk? What if there's asbestos? Bought it January 15th. Had planned to remodel but don't know what approach to take now. My family needs a home they won't get sick staying in. Open Question: Removable curtain rings?I just moved into a new loft-style apartment with the bedroom overlooking the living room with a 3 ft balcony as the 4th wall. Above this, the previous tenant had installed a thick wire running the length of the balcony, presumably for a curtain. Now, the wire is fixed into the wall with a pretty heavy-duty clamp that I don't want to mess with for fear of ruining the tension and lack of know-how. I have curtains, but I need removable curtain rings that I can somehow snap onto this wire without having to take the wire down. All the rings I have found are solid, IE you can't open the ring part because they are made to slide onto a curtain rod. Does anyone know of a way I could get around this? I have a piece of artwork, its actually a Lichtenberg Figure. What this means is, its a thick acrylic sheet, where they blast 5 million volts through it. The lightning (basically, thats what it is) eats through the acrylic leaving a perfect snapshot of the lightning strike in the sheet.
