Open Question: room designing ideas please?!?! the theme is pink/black!! i appreciate all answers!!?Open Question: What to keep in mind when arranging a room?I'm putting one room to a completely different use than before and I would like to know some basic do and don't. The room is going to be my bedroom - I'm 20 (live in a multi generational house with my parents and grandparents), is quite large, light, high ceiling, rectangle, widows to the east and south. I don't mind what's trendy, but like soft, warm and a bit old-fashioned style. I would be grateful if you gave me any tips or links how to make it most comfortable and what would be a mistake. I need a dining room set, a bed, and bathroom accessories. Any one know where to buy some furniture that is affordable but good? She moved into a 2 bedroom apartment which is okay for the most part.. But for the location and price you really cant beat it.. Anyhow, the problem is that she hates the retro bathroom, by retro I mean its old 70's rosy pink color (the tub, and the outskirts of the tile) and white.. also it has one of those throwback slide mirrored medicine cabinets with the fluorescent lights on the top.. Now for the kitchen its not too bad its ALL white laminate cabinets and formicounter-topsops..suggestedted that she change tcounter-topsops and the flooring (open kitchen flows into the living/dining room).. The landlord realisn'tsnt going to do much.. He pretty did a lipstick job (paint and somewhat clean the place).. Can any one suggest what to do, although its an apartment she will be living there for a awhile so she's willing to invest some funds on its interior, just like the show on HGTV call For Rent.. Everything is neutral (my carpet is beige shag) and so are the walls so I'm starting fresh. If anyone has any ideas of the paint scheme or theme, please let me know! also i'd like a inexpensive cute upholstered platform bed, if anyone knows a good store I could go to.
