Open Question: Should we do smooth or textured ceilings?We are building a new home and think we have decided to do smooth walls instead of texture. Now we are wondering if the ceilings should be smooth too or if we should do them texture to keep some interest? What do you think? Do you know of a way to ask an interior designer with out paying by the hour? Rick Z, We don't really know what we want to do that is why I am asking you :). We want to do what looks the best. We had texture wall at our last home and hated painting them but once that is done they do look nice. But if we want to do special paint techniques like a feature wall with stencil or linen painting techniqe then we cant really do that with texture. I guess we are afraid that the smooth will look boring and cheap. Do you think it looks cheap? We have not been in a home with smooth walls. Open Question: Where can I find plastic rods for a wall scroll?I bought a wall scroll and found out that it did not have the plastic hanging rods. I can't seem to find a place that has just the rods, any ideas? I already checked ebay, and several other sites. No, wood rods won't work without glue, and I am not ruining it with glue. Open Question: Can anyone tell me some modern white and grey paint names?We are renoing our home and want a real ultra modern white or very light grey paint throughout the whole place to keep it completely unified. I see white rooms in magazines in modern spaces and don't know the names of the colors or by who? We are also open to light grey. Any help is appreciated, especially if you are a designer!
