Open Question: decorating the home, colors? and more... Open Question: decorating the home, colors?been slowly working on re-doing my trailer's living room. I'm going with shades of brown/tan and dark red theme. I uploaded some new photos to my photobucket album showing a new entertainment center and some new pillows. Got to thinking about colors and I wondered how much it mattered if the colors matched? (for instance in my case, the maroon pillows on my loveseat aren't exactly the same shade as what's on the edge of my bar and when buying new curtains they likely won't be the same exact color either)....so my question is then, does it matter if the colors aren't exact matches? photobucket pictures: http://s130.photobucket.com/albums/p278/georgew84/trailer/ Gina, thanks for the reply; it doesn't bother me that they don't match, I just wondered if that was a no-no when it comes to decorating. It certainly would be easier for me to install myself. Thanks. Open Question: can I use old decking as a floor for my basement?I want to replace my pt decking with composite. I think the old weathered boards would make a nice floor in my basement after a light sanding. I would need a fastener that attaches the boards from the side. I am avoiding a vapor barrier since the wood should breath. Does anyone think I should or shouldn't do this? Any suggestions for a way to put this all together? Open Question: Help with crease in a Lantern Lamp!!?I bought a tall lantern lamp for my bed room, when i was putting it together i unfolded the actual Lantern. Just think of a gift bag and how two sides are flat and the other two sides are folded/creased in. that's how my lamp is, and its not supposed to be like that. So what i'm trying to ask is how can i take out the crease and BIG wrinkles just from packaging? Its light cream color, and the actual paper is scrunched (its supposed to be like that lol)..any help????
