Open Question: How can I cover ugly wood panel in my rental house?

I rent a house. We are not allowed to make permanent changes to the house, but our living room has ugly old wood paneling on the main wall and small adjacent wall (other walls are drywall covered with white paint.) What we are thinking of doing is buying cheap drywall and temporarily putting a fake wall over the existing one so we can cover up the paneling and be able to paint the wall. What I want to know is if there are better options to go about this. Whatever I do has to be removed and the wall restored to its original condition. It's wood paneling, cant paint it... Similar to this pic http://www.childrensministryonline.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/img-1719.jpg BTW the landlord WON'T let us I guess I didn't clarify very well. I want to paint the wall, hence the drywall to make a fake wall over it. What I'm really after is alternative to drywall to do this. No wall behind it, it IS the wall.

Open Question: What color of tile should i buy?

I have a brown and beige and white lino, a white sink cabinet. I love color but i don't want it too busy either. I really like the glass tile. Was thinking maybe aqua blues..or possibly the white clear and opaque. Any ideas...or should i just paint a funky color above the tiles and go more neutral with the tiles?

Open Question: How do I seal my laminate floors to waterproof them?

I am installing IKEA Markland flooring in my kitchen. I would like to take it into the bathroom as well. It is a high gloss tongue-and-groove click-lock laminate. From what I have read, if water gets in the seams, it will warp. I want to seal the floor to make it waterproof. I have been looking online for options for hours. The only thing I could really find was click-seal, which apparently you can't order online. Isn't there a way I can just coat the floor in a high-gloss clear coat that will make it waterproof? Like a roll on polyurethane or epoxy? I can't get a straight answer on the internet to save my life. Also, this may sound stupid, but what about wiping on rain-x? Thanks!

Open Question: Does a rug in front of a bed HAVE to be longer or as long as the bed's width?

So..I just bought a really great rug from Ikea. I have a modern Japanese low height style queen bed (also from Ikea). My plan was to put the rug running width wise at the foot of the bed. Does that make sense? The bed would not be on top of the rug, rather the rug would be on the ground at the foot of the bed. l -------------------------l

Or, any cool things that would go with this theme is welcome. Thanks guys and girls and whoever else! P.s. I am a girl!! This is my brothers account.

Open Question: How do you remove layers of liquid wax from the finish of a wood floor?

I have several layers of liquid wax that was applied to a wood veneer floor that has a polyurethane finish. How can I remove it. All the stores sell wax strippers, but they can only be used on viny floors. I don't want to sand it off.

Open Question: Wall decoration question?

Hello! Im trying to find cool picture mixturse of bands like led zeppelin rhcp acdc the who hendrix etc so i can print them on a plastic like material and put em on a canvas on my wall. I dont know much about it and i definately cant find any type of such image that pleases me. I would love for some guidance on where to look for such wallpapers. It doesn't have to include the above bands but some of them so it represents my style. Anything on my wall like paint-graffiti etc is prohibited thus im going for a canvas. So.. community what do you suggest ;)
