Open Question: How much to get granite countertops for the kitchen?Open Question: Cooktop stickers for pretend play?I recently made a trip to Ikea Richmond, Vic and in thier play area they had a Trofast system with a cooktop sticker on top for this kids to pretend play with pots and pans etc. I asked where they were and was told they didn't sell them?? Open Question: Has anyone noticed a difference between brands of paint?Last summer I painted my living room using behr premium eggshell. I did the color match system at Home Depot to match the Ralph Lauren cottonwood color swatch. I thought the walls looked just okay. Then I needed more to paint the adjoining hall, which has a little bit less light, but the same trim and everything. The Ralph Lauren eggshell happened to be on sale so that's what I got. The color in the hall ended up looking so awesome that I decided to paint my bathroom and basement with the Ralph Lauren kind. Eventually I'm going to get more and give my living room a coat of the Ralph Lauren kind. I also got Ralph Lauren white semi-gloss for my woodwork and for some reason I hated it. It really didn't go on right and I wasn't crazy about the color. I liked Olympia white semi-gloss better. I always thought that paint was paint and that the color was what mattered, but I guess I was wrong. Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone has noticed that some paints work better than others or had any opinions about paint. I have a lot of painting to do and wanted opinions and advice. Thanks! HOWEVER, my husband thinks I should go with black because we have a 7 yr old and 2 year old kids, AND we have an open floor plan...which means the eat-in kitchen would back the chaise in the family room. If for some reason my 2 year old gets down from the table and "accidentally" touches the chaise, would it be hard to clean? Basically is the upkeep not worth getting this set & should I just go with the black one just like this one?? Please let me know asap before the deal is over with. Thanks.
