Open Question: How much to install an interior door? and more... Open Question: How much to install an interior door?I have one of those homes with no door between the master bedroom and bathroom. It's time to put one in. The space for the door goes to the ceiling (8ft), and is 31" wide with dry wall on both sides. There's no plumbing or tiles in the way. The space above the door frame would have to be patched/ dry walled. I just want a simple, practical door. I was wondering how much estimated it would take to do this before I start getting bids from contractors? Open Question: I want to replace a tile floor with hardwood.?Is it easier to to just replace the subfloor, or is there an easy way to clean all the old thinset off it? could I just put the new wood floor over the old thin set? 2nd story of the house. Ad for 1440 square ft barn, cement floor/2story for $15000.?Am trying to figure most reasonable route to putting a cabin on land. Unsure if it would be cheaper to go with cabin same size, standard built or have this barn built with idea of making it a cabin and doing some work myself.
