This fire protudes approx 3 inches from the chimney breast. We wish to paper the breast, but realise the heat from the fire will loosen the paper at the edges. Open Question: How much money I am looking at to turn a garage into an apartment?Okay I need to add a tub, toilet, bathroom and kitchen sink, stove and fridge. It is a garage so all the plumbing and electric is in the ceiling which is unfinished. I don't need to add any walls or flooring because I have a friend who does that. So how much cash am I looking at to add just those items, I have great inexpensive ideas for the rest!!! There are already a few outlets and lights down there so that is no issue. Also anyone got any ideas how I could keep the garage doors so I could open in the summer and have and outdoor indoor kinda thing going on but seal them off for heating purposes in the winter????
