Open Question: mixing furniture help? and more... Open Question: mixing furniture help?*WARNING BE PREPARED FOR LONG POST* I have beige walls, dark walnut floor, and currently 2 nightstands in white. I've been thinking about my dresser situation for this bedroom. I have 2 available dressers @ home, one is a cheap $50 dresser from walmart that I can easily repaint white to match my night stands, the only problem is the drawers stick bad and it's kinda small one. My other option is a very sturdy dark/black brown dresser, it works really well, but I don't know about the dark colour. So my question, should I go all white furniture for my bedroom, or add in this dark brown dresser for contrast. Also what so I repaint my desk: white or try to replicate the dark brown/black. Any help will be appreciated. For note the theme of my room is chic hotel in paris, france. So there is lots of black and whites with hints of magenta and sage green. Thx. Open Question: What does it take to build a house?My fiancee's parents gave us 8 acres of land to build a home (and to use as collateral) on this summer, he already co-owns a house and has a full time job with great credit, I on the other hand have 0 credit and only work part time So im wondering, what does it take to build a home, we are planning on using the land as collateral and we are building the house ourselves. (: THANKS Y'ALL Open Question: mattress problems!!!!!!!!!?my matress is too heavy to carry out of the house. i thought maybe i could just burn it on the bed right where its at. the bed is made of metal so it wont burn! if i open the windows it should be fine. the only thing is how hot will the bed be afterwards? how long can i approach it? i dont want to burn my hands cuz i know metal stays hot for a very long time. it even turns red sometimes thats how hot it gets!
