Open Question: Cost of building a double garage? Victoria Australia?I am considering adding a double Garage onto my house - i am just after a 'ball-park figure'. I have no idea about the cost. I would want it bricked. Land is flat. Open Question: Is it possible to reduce upstairs noise with out dropping the ceiling?I'm not sure if it's because there is not enough space between floors (I think there's 12 inches) or what, but anytime someone is upstairs the movement on the floor is LOUD! Our light fixtures even shake with normal rough housing or running that kids do. I've heard of expandable insulation that can be sprayed into spaces to absorb sound. Would that be something possible to do between the floors of a two story home? Open Question: How much to add a basement under a house?I currently have a 2200 sq ft 2 story house with an attached garage. There is a pretty largecrawl space under the house already (6 ft or more for about half of the house heater and water tank are there). I'm looking for a ballpark cost on adding a basment under the house Open Question: how much should i charge for this paint job ?i painted 3 offices and a lobby. 2 coats on all and cleaned the baseboards so they didnt need to be replaced to save the owner money. the job went flawless and looks awesome. i worked a total of 24 hours and painted 760 square feet. plus i used a brush and roller for the whole thing. the ceilings were 11 feet high as well. and to top it all off the owner supplied me with the paint. how much should i cost ?
