Open Question: Need to know what size thickness of drywall to use in garage?

I live in wisconsin and i am going to be installing drywall in my garage. I have three walls that are studded and my "party" wall has slate. So i will only be doing the three studded walls with drywall. I want to use 1/2" thick but in wisconsin does it have to be 5/8"? I want to make sure that i do this up to code.

Open Question: Know who makes the light fixtures at Bamboo Sushi in Portland?

Have you seen the lights in the bathroom at Bamboo Sustainable Sushi in Portland, OR? They hang from the ceiling on a long dark cord and they almost look like big glow sticks or a light saber! They are so cool. Anybody know who makes them or where I can find a similar one? Thanks!

Open Question: What Could I Paint To Make the Background In a Picture Frame Blue?

So for Valentine's Day I am going to get an 18x24 picture frame and put a letter I am writing and a little over a dozen photos in. My plan is to have the background royal blue to match his room, with my letter glued onto whatever is painted blue in the center and pictures scattered around the letter of him and I. But I don't know what I could do to make the background blue? If I just used the little paper with the picture on it and paint over it, it will wrinkle, and if I use material I'm afraid it will show in the back or wrinkle as well, or show how it is attached through the material. So what could I do? Help please, ASAP!

Open Question: What are some cheap ways to make your house look amazing?

I was over at my old school friend's house and I was blown away. She has a small house, but the inside is amazing. It looked like it came straight from an IKEA magazine. There were radio speakers in the ceiling, amazing decor, and yet it still looked homey. What are some cheap ways to make my house look like that?
