Open Question: Parents kicked me out of my house? Currently sleeping at friends house sofa?

Hi i accidentaly broke my parents microwave by trying to get myself warm. I guess i went a little too far and put my butt in it. I weigh a little over 300 pounds so it fell down from the cabinets. Cost 15 dollars a night at friends house but now they told me to leave. They think im packing right now but im really using their computer to ask you this question. WHAT DO I DO NOW!?!

Open Question: what colours would you suggest to go with pink for a nursery?

i'm just about to decorate the nursery and there's a pink changing mat i like so i'm basing everything around it. i do like pink but i don't want a completely pink room as it's quite small and i think another just pink girls room will be a bit boring so what colours do you think would compliment it. I've attached a link to the changing mat so you can see the shade of pink. thanks for your help x http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-Us/Bathing/Changing-Mats/Hugs-and-Kisses-Changing-Mat-with-Activity-Arch(0032412)

Open Question: So, I bought this antique sofa at an auction, and was wondering where it was made...?

I bought this really cool, purple velvet sofa at an auction a couple months ago, and was wondering if there was any way to find out who made it. It looks Victorian, because it has wooden arms and feet, but I don't think it is necessarily THAT old (it's in really good shape). There is a tag under the middle cushion that says "Super Sagless---Web Foundation -- Custom Built. Anybody have a clue what that means, or if that is some sort of existing furniture company? I am just a little curious as to where this came from, and how old it may be. The velvet is pretty much in perfect condition, so I was thinking, if the couch actually is Victorian, it was likely reupholstered at some point.... Gabi -- why Canada? How did you come up with that?

Open Question: Chalkboard paint on slightly textured wall..?

Hi! I am painting a room wall in chalkboard paint and I was wondering if a slight texture is okay to use it. The wall has a slight texture, not very much, just a little bit. Would it be hard to write on? Is there a simple way to make it ready for chalkboard paint?

Open Question: Can I increase the height of a standard office chair?

I have a pretty decent office chair that seemed perfect in the store, but I guess their desk was shorter than mine, cause at my desk it's just a couple of inches too short. Does anyone know of a simple way of increasing the height of a basic gas lift office chair?

Open Question: What do I do about a seam on the ceiling?

I live in an old home. I think it was built in 1949 and the living room has a line running down the ceiling and it goes into the room that is next to it. It looks like it's a little bit lower than the rest of the ceiling. I've touched it and it doesn't feel wet or weak/damaged or anything. I moved in a couple years ago but I didn't notice it then but I never really looked at it so it may have been there the whole time. In the basements, the previous owners put the plaster slap brush ceiling (I guess it's plaster, I don 't know what it's called) over acoustic tiles and that ceiling is starting to show cracks along the tile joints, so it's possible that they did something like that up here. I've patched other ceilings in the house with wallboard joint compound so I think I could probably fix it, but I don't want to mask something that could signal a problem. What could cause a line on the ceiling?
