I really like vintage-styled furniture... my room currently is light blue sponged with gold stars. Heres the furniture i have: a papasan chair (ew...) an ikea desk that i'm getting rid of my bed is green with gold sponged onto the frame i have an antique nightstand and bookshelf which i like a built in desk some wall art that im getting rid of a closet that goes into my wall with curtains over it. a huge black office chair heres some things i want: wall art a table to put where my desk was a couch, love seat, or chair an office chair type thing thats would go with my room lighting. i dont have a built in light in my room other random things that would make my room nice bedding I'm 13 by the way, but my parent will let me pretty much do whatever If you know where i can get ideas, buy stuff, or ANY ideas at all, please comment! thanks! -I Open Question: Where can i find a loft bed that will be good in my room.?I have a very small room that only fits my bed a small book shelf and a small bedside table (with very little walking space left) I was thinking about getting a loft bed so that i can have a little more room. Open Question: Where can I find a perfect match for my granite counter top in GTA.?I bought a model kitchen that needs modifying a bit to fit my kitchen. I need to add a bit of granite to the countertop so it fits my counter. The piece will have to butt up against the granite we bought and I'm having a hard time finding the exact colour because I don't remember the name and never wrote it down. . The colour is very close to NEW VENETIAN GOLD, but less gold in the background and, the background colour is like GIALLO ORNAMENTAL. The pattern and foreground is identical to the N.V.G..Any suggestions where I can find a large variety of granite colours close by or what it might be called. Open Question: Remodeling old house, too much dark stained wood?House built in 1888. Trying to fix a 14 x 16 room, plaster walls are 8-1/2 ft around exterior with the center of the ceiling having a 10 x 10', not quite square area that makes that height 10 ft. tall. Then there is an 18" drop, to the ceiling about 40 inches over to the 8-1/2 ft wall. Looks like a soffet. Hand hewn joists and budget made us use 6" pine planks in order to level and make a ceiling in that area. I purchased crown to edge the 10 x 10 planking, because it has to hide the un-squared area. The room (parlor) has 5 doorways 3 of them have dark oak trim 1 lg window also has dark trim. All trim is 1 x 4" with rosettes for corners. Floor is 6" dark planks but can sand it up lighter in color. QUESTION? Stain or paint the recessed planks, what color? Crown, stain or paint, what color? Then there is the 18" drop. If I stain the planks & crown would it make the room more cozy.. With warm color walls? I think I need to bring that 10' down to blend in, otherwise it would be a box on top of a box. White or light color would give it a higher appearance and also all the natural light would go directly there making the room look even smaller because even with all the openings that room faces west, with lots of trees, so it is dark until late afternoon. Open for suggestions...
