Open Question: should i change the basement into my room?ok so when my step sister came home from college she needed a place to live so my dad built a room in our basement and i want to know if i should fix it up a bit and turn it into mine Open Question: How do I shorten curtains that are *slightly* too long, without sewing?I have some new curtains on a bay window. They are about 1.5cm too long (my fault, I measured wrong). I've put the curtain hooks on the lowest setting on the heading tape, but they're still too long. Are there any curtain hooks or gadgets that will raise them up just 1.5cm? I really don't want to spend the time or money getting them shortened for that tiny amount. Open Question: How can I make my closet functional?My bedroom closet is a disaster and I can't afford a closet system at this time. The Closet is about 14ft long and 4 feet wide, long and narrow. At each end are shelves, each ranging in size (Some are 6 inches wide, some are 2 feet wide, very awkward), one side holds all my son's clothes that are too small that I dont want to part with yet, and the other side holds a ton of my clothes that I dont have room to hang or fold in a dresser.. Along the back wall I have 2 cheap wire shelves that hold our hung clothes. and some more folded on top. We also have our luggage, and a few other items taking up space. I need to make this closet functional and more enjoyable. We pretty much live out of our laundry baskets because the closet does us no justice. The shelves are ready to rip out of the wall and we're limited on space in the house the way it is. I do have a spare bedroom, but it is on the lower level of the house, and I'm not sure if it would function well as a closet, though it may be a possibility. Suggestions?? Open Question: are there any profesional tile design classes?i own a flooring store and just need one for my sales staff and myself no like how to let say add 12x12's in a bathroom then some 12x18's and some listelloes and make it look good. like you see in the fancy homes and pictures Open Question: Need A good unfinished hardwood flooring broker any suggestions?i sell alot of unfinished hardwood in South Carolina. There is existing berber carpet that is coming up at the seams and would need to be replaced. We were thinking of getting cut berber carpet tiles to replace the old carpet. This would be a high traffic area, as it is by the front door and bedrooms. We also have a large dog that would run across them. If anyone knows about this stuff, or better yet used it in their home, I'd appreciate your advice!
