However, her mom said we can only do it if we find a way to cover up the ceiling- if we get paint on the ceiling, my friend will be in huge trouble. I suggested somehow making an old sheet stick to the ceiling with either staples or something else... but her mom said it wouldnt work. So we need to find out a way to cover up her ceiling or else we cant paint!! Any suggestions? Open Question: Value of an Antique with Milk Paint?Hi, I bought a nightstand from a junk store that was covered with layers of paint. The structure was sound and when I got it home I found a date stamped on a drawer that puts if from the 1890's. I started to remove the paint and have hit a final layer of whiteish stuff that won't come off with anything I've tried. I have a suspision that it's milk paint and before I go any further I wanted to find out if removing it would hurt the value of this piece, the way removing the original varnish would. Thanks! I'm getting rid of the two cream walls. I have a brown, leather double bed also. I'm not sure what colour to to do the cream walls. I was thinking green.. but would that look like a christmas themed room? I don't want it to look stupid. I also have two white units. I'm trying to make it match, but also with a bit of creativity. I was also thinking silver, or gold. Even purple. Any idea what colours i should go with? or different ideas. anything will help, thanks! :) for inspiration I was thinking Peyton Sawyers room from one tree hill (dark red). Also Bella's room from twilight (greens and purple). My original idea was to have an autumn coloured theme, like red, orange, green, brown. for inspiration I was thinking Peyton Sawyers room from one tree hill (dark red).
