Open Question: Can I make my regular bed a daybed?

my regular bed is full sized, and the foot board and head board are about the same size. I was thinking I could put pillows along the side of it by the wall. Thank you :) !

Open Question: How much do you think a bed would be worth?

My grandma wants to get rid of her extra bed (mattress, frame, headboard...) and my friend needs a bed so.... I don't know what would be a fair price for the bed to my friend. I mean I know that even mattresses are pretty expensive, let alone whole beds. We were thinking about $50 would be a good price for the bed. What do you think? Thanks!!

Open Question: plywood wall - wallpaper or paint?

We just peeled some horrific old wallpaper off of our kitchen walls, only to discover that the wall is not drywall, but instead it's plywood! If we paint on the plywood, you will be able to tell it's wood. We don't really want to skimcoat the wall with plaster because of the huge mess it makes when sanding. Anyone ever use that wallpaper that looks like paint? We just want a solid red on the wall because 1 of the 4 walls in the kitchen is brick, so the red will be a nice compliment. HELP! Unfortunately only one of the walls is plywood. The other 3 are "normal" (drywall) so I think it might look obvious that they are different if we paint them. I am not too worried about the wallpaper sticking because there was wallpaper on it when we moved in, and believe me, this wallpaper was NOT modern (haha, the man we bought the house from was like 85 and probably hadn't updated the house in about 40 years)

Open Question: Which "LED" standard base for recessed lighting is cost effective to use now before it is more popular?

I prefer to change out my CFL bulbs in recessed lighting to LEDs to reduce monthly operating costs, but LED purchase prices are still relatively high. Anyone have any leads??

Open Question: What floor lamp should I pair this pendant light with?

Here is a link to a picture of the pendant. http://s572.photobucket.com/albums/ss169/daracox/light/?action=view¤t=photo.jpg It is fairly large, probably 30" in diameter. I am not sure what kind of a floor lamp to put in the living room. We are in a condo with an open living/dining room, so it is important that the two lights look good together. Please include links with pictures. Thanks!
