Open Question: how do i get rid of scabies mites on the furniture, bedding, etc.?I'm getting tired of having to "freak out" over what I touch, what is clean, doing laundry daily etc. I've heard of some chemical sprays to use around the house even regular 'Off' bug spray, I just want to know what is legit. What can I use to spray my mattress, my clothes in my closet, my laundr basket, the furniture etc.? Should I be bathing my dogs as well? I live with my parents and my sister, and they dont know that I have scabies, its kind of embarrassing, should I let them know, I haven't come in contact with any of them, nor been close to them. Open Question: Can I pass an appliance cord through an interior wall that is open to studs on the other side?I'm setting up a plan for electronics and would like to hide the surge protecting power bar in the utility room on the other side of the finished family room. The wall in the utility room is open as there are junctions. I know you can't have a power cord to an appliance in a closed wall, but what if it is open to the other side? Open Question: What type/piece of furniture would make a good stand for a hookah?I'm 19 and male, so I'm not very knowledgable in the areas of furniture; antique or modern. I recently bought a 40" hookah and would like a nice platform to place it on. I'd prefer something about 2 to 3 feet tall with an arabic, indian or oriental appearance. I was thinking maybe some type of stool or lamp stand? I don't know what terms to search for on google or ebay. Any suggestions? Thanks! Open Question: Does mold change colors if you put any kind of plaster or wall paint over it?We had a leak in the ceiling and it damaged the whole entire wall, and made the wallpaper bubble up. Its been like this for ATLEAST 6 months, there has to be mold. Our landlord FINALLY decided to fix the problem and hired someone very unprofessional. He didnt fix the wall or mold problem he just covered it up with plaster and paint, now the plaster turned purple in parts, like purple circles and blotches. Could this be the mold showing up? Thanks for the help guys! Open Question: Countertop Conspiracy?I needed to remove my dishwasher it's place under my kitchen countertop. I had a problem. My countertop was too low to remove the dishwasher...it was stuck. I removed the screws that held the dishwasher in place, but it was too tall to clear the opening. I had to remove my countertop to get the dishwasher out. My thinking is that dishwasher height is pretty standard, and therefore countertop height/dishwasher cabinet opening would also be standard. I would also think countertop manufacturers would also take this into account. So, what gives? What am I missing? I need to put this stuff back together, but I know this is not right. Please don't give me a McGyver bubble gum and duct tape answer. This should be something practical and obvious... Open Question: Wallpaper in London: where to buy it?Hi.
