Open Question: Where do I start to remodel a large family room?It is big and is really like two rooms side by side. The one side has a red brick fireplace and 2 navy leather charis, an end table and a lamp. To the left of that is the large addition, the whole thing is painted a light beige. The addition has a navy leather sofa to sit on to watch a TV that is flanked by 2 30 year old wooden blonde cabinets. It also has a piano and a wall of windows with just blinds, vinyl blinds. I really need some help here. Open Question: Painting Rooms.......?Whats the easiest way to paint a room. Open Question: Would something like this go with the pink carpet? My fiance and i are moving into a new place. However, the master bedroom has light pink carpeting and we are trying to make it look grown up instead of a kids room. Our furniture is a dark brown color so we need something that will coordinate with that and the carpeting and still look unisex. http://www.smartbargains.com/go.sb?pagename=prod&sp=All%2BProducts%252f%252f%252f%252fBed%2B%2526%2BBath%2BBargains%252f%252f%252f%252fComforter%2BSets%252f%252f%252f%252fAttribSelect%253dBed%2Bsize%253d%2527King%2527%252f%252f%252f%252f&dk=Comforter%2520Sets&deptid=3&catid=92&prodid=3030569178&t=Cat-Refine.dept-3.cat-92.prod.2 or this one: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/185-0198490-1471375?asin=B001TIV9S4&AFID=Froogle_df&LNM=|B001TIV9S4&CPNG=home&ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001 Open Question: where can I get/buy memory foam by the piece?I want to make my own cushions and need to buy a larger piece of memory foam. Like to scale them.?Open Question: What color should I paint my bedroom?Open Question: How do you remove cam locks from wooden shelving?I was working on a shelf and didn't realize I'd laid down the sides wrong. I realized it after I'd connected the base and middle shelves to them and the cam locks were in place. I'd like to remove the sides and flip them the correct direction but cannot remove the locks. Is there a tool that is used to do this? I'm assuming if I want to pay someone from the company that makes these shelves, they could send someone to take it apart but I can't spend the $$. Open Question: Staining Stair Treads?I have a set of stairs that had carpet covering them for 10+ years with the first few steps having an exposed side that was stained. I have ripped off the carpet, filled the holes, and sanded each step. The steps that had a stain already on them I have stripped off and the wood appears to be uniform in color. However, when I wiped the steps clean with a damp cloth, the steps that had the existing stain dried a lot faster then the part that was previously covered with carpet. Is this going to effect the uniformity of the stain? Any way to fix this issue without replacing each step? What if I already sanded one of the partially stained steps? More Recent Articles |
