EVERY IDEA COUNTS :) thanks ! :) Open Question: Ideas on paint colors for family room?We have 3 kids, and put an addition on our house w/ a half basement. The basement will be a bedroom for my oldest, a bathroom and a family room. The family room will be more for the kids, but also for the adults to hang out when we have company etc, and for guest to sleep. We are going to put all kids toys down there, game stations etc. so they can do all that down there. I am having trouble with what color to paint the walls now. I was thinking maybe picking a small wall and painting the lower half with the chalk board paint so kids can draw and we can leave notes etc. Not 100% sure on that one yet but it's an idea. I was also thinking of maybe a slate blue or somthing for rest. * My couch is a black leather couch, we have 2 leather cream color swivel chairs w/ ottomans. * Our trim will be a light oak. I don't really have any other decor that I want in there yet, so I really don't have like a favorite pillow or painting with a color etc. that I may want to grab to go from that I may want to use as wall idea or anything. So pretty much starting from scratch here. Open Question: What color should we paint the walls in our house if we plan to sell the house in 2 years?My husband and I are planning to paint walls in our house in the upcoming weeks. We plan to sell the house in 2 years. Otherwise we would just choose colors we enjoy and not worry about what other people might like.
